Bring people together around Jesus in the places you already live and belong.
Become a Chapter
What is a Chapter
A chapter is a simple expression of church that forms through relationships and shared rhythms of discipleship. Rather than gathering around programs or large organizational structures, chapters focus on creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus, grow together, and support one another in everyday life.
These gatherings often happen in natural settings such as:
- Homes
- Coffee shops
- Campuses
- Neighborhoods
- Shared community spaces
Church takes shape where people already live, work, and belong. The goal is not to create complexity, but to cultivate healthy communities that are simple, relational, and replicable.
Many followers of Jesus sense a desire to help others grow in faith, but often feel unsure how to begin. The Gathering of Neighbors Collective exists to help everyday believers take simple, faithful steps toward forming communities centered around Jesus.
Becoming a chapter means starting a simple gathering where people can grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and live out their faith together in everyday life.
You don’t need a building.
You don’t need formal ministry training.
You simply need a willingness to say
yes to what God may be inviting you into.
Who This Is For
Becoming a chapter is often a natural step for people who feel drawn toward gathering others around Jesus but may not see themselves in traditional ministry roles.
This pathway may resonate with you if you:
- Feel God nudging you to bring people together around Jesus
- Are drawn to church that is simple, relational, and community-centered
- Sense a calling that may not fit traditional church leadership structures
- Want to help others grow spiritually in everyday life
- Desire to live out your faith in a more intentional way
You do not need to be a pastor.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You do not need formal ministry training.
What matters most is a willingness to take the next step in obedience. Many chapters begin simply with a few people gathering regularly to pray, share life, and pursue Jesus together.
How We Support You
When you become part of the Gathering of Neighbors Collective, you are not expected to figure everything out alone. The Collective exists to walk alongside leaders and help them grow in their calling.
Support includes:
Coaching and Encouragement
Leaders receive guidance and encouragement from experienced leaders who help them navigate the journey of forming healthy communities.
Practical Tools and Rhythms
Chapters are supported with simple practices that help gatherings stay centered on Jesus while remaining easy to share with others.
Healthy Pace
The focus is not rapid expansion, but faithful and sustainable growth. Leaders are encouraged to move at a pace that allows relationships and spiritual formation to develop naturally.
Ongoing Community
Chapters are connected to a wider community of leaders who are pursuing similar callings in different places.
Together, this support helps ensure that chapters grow in healthy and sustainable ways.
The Journey
Every chapter journey is unique, but the process typically unfolds in several simple steps.
1. Initial Conversation
It begins with a conversation. This allows us to hear your story, understand your context, and explore what God may be stirring in your life.
2. Training and Formation
Leaders engage in training that helps them develop healthy rhythms for gathering people, discipling others, and leading with humility and faithfulness.
3. Launching a Gathering
Once ready, you begin gathering people in a simple and natural way within your existing relationships and community.
4. Ongoing Support
The Collective continues to provide coaching, encouragement, and community as your chapter grows and develops.
The goal is not simply starting gatherings, but cultivating healthy leaders and communities that can grow and multiply over time.
One of the core commitments of the Gathering of Neighbors Collective is removing unnecessary barriers for those who feel called to gather others around Jesus.
Because of generous partners and supporters, there is no financial cost to becoming a chapter.
This allows leaders to focus on people, relationships, and discipleship rather than financial requirements.
Removing Barriers
If you sense even a small nudge that God may be inviting you to explore this path, we would love to start a conversation.
This is not a commitment or application process. It is simply an opportunity to talk, listen, and discern together what your next step might be.
No pressure.
No expectations.
Just a conversation about the “yes” God may be inviting you into.
